Art in South Beach Mission Bay

Our neighborhood is by far the most dynamic in San Francisco! It’s exciting to be a part of all the positive changes as we continue to grow and change each and every day. The influx of new residents and new businesses is creating an entirely new way of living -- from the increased pedestrian traffic to more congestion on our local streets. A few years ago, the neighborhood was quite tranquil. Not so any more!

At the same time that we are enjoying our ever-changing neighborhood we must look out for ourselves and for our neighbors. Increased traffic means busier intersections, particularly during ballgames and peak traffic hours. The increased population coming to visit our restaurants and businesses, not to mention ballgames and other special events, means that we also see more opportunity for unwelcome activity.

We are lucky to have a very fine Police Captain in Daniel McDonagh at Southern Station. Captain McDonagh and his staff hold monthly Safety Network Meetings where we as residents can have one-on-one conversations with the officers and others from City Hall and DPT. Come join us to discuss our concerns and deliberate how we will work together to address them. Sign up to get the latest “police blotter” information and details about the monthly meetings. Check out the link below to SF SAFE - the organization that can help faciltate and form an official Neighborhood Watch program.
